Rui Catalão's last solo is a short tour through memory and drunkenness. An event or discovery from the very day of the performance is analyzed from an unusual perspective by being associated with episodes and experiences from the past.
By using memory as a tool to shape time, Rui Catalão tries to show us how certain themes affect us in the present. Not because they are important in themselves, but because they are part of a pattern that has been determining our lives and the meaning we give to them.
With Vícios Antigos Hábitos Modernos, Rui Catalão closes a long series of autobiographical solos that he began in 2010 with Dentro das Palavras.
