Joãozinho da Costa

(b. 1991, Cacheu, Guinea-Bissau)

He came to Portugal at the age of 11. He attended the architecture course at the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon. he has collaborated since 2015 with Rui Catalão: "E Agora nós!", "Assembleia", "Jornalismo, Amadorismo, Hipnotismo", "Último Slow". He also performed the solo "A Rapariga Mandjako", inspired by his biography. He participated in Radar 360's show "Stories in Travel" (2017) and he is the performer of "Mal - Embriaguez Divina", the most recent show by Marlene Monteiro Freitas. In 2020 he wrote and directed his first play: "Duas Peças de Chadrez".

In 2021 he interpreted in the show Anda Diana by Diana Niepce and in the show Interior by Tiago Vieira.

He worked with the actor/director Welket Bungué in his creation "Não, Somos Daqui".
