Mei Liu
Mei Liu is a filmmaker, artist, and performer from Shanghai, currently based in Amsterdam. She studied in the MA Artistic Research in and through Cinema programme at the Netherlands Film Academy and took part in Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s film lab in the Amazon jungle. She received support from the Forecast Platform to work with mentor artist Lieko Shiga on her research-based performance Homesick for Another World. Mei strives to create new filmmaking spaces that challenge existing social hierarchies and interactions. She is currently developing a practice of “cinematic yoga” to gain political and spiritual insights through filmmaking.
Gustavo Gomes
Gustavo Gomes (1988) is a performer, choreographer, and filmmaker based in Cologne, Germany. His work pushes the boundaries of performance and its dialogue with other media, having been showcased at venues such as Radialsystem Berlin, Schauspielhaus Köln, Hombroich Insel Museum, Ludwig Museum, and HELLERAU. As director of Gustavo Gomes & Co., he collaborates with a multidisciplinary collective to rethink theatrical representation. He has created works for major companies and performed with Ballet of Difference, Osnabrück Tanztheater, Braunschweig Tanztheater, and Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, working alongside artists such as Richard Siegal, Jacopo Godani, and William Forsythe. Passionate about the intersections between dance and film, Gomes has received the Tarkovsky Grant three times, with films screened at festivals including Brussels Independent, Venice Independent, and Berlin Independent Film Festival. He has completed residencies at Forecast Platform, HELLERAU, TalentLab Luxembourg, WELTKUNSTZIMMER, VRHAM Festival, EKARD Residency, Quartier am Hafen, and Cité Internationale des Arts Paris. Gomes is also a guest member at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt and the Centre for Contemporary Dance in Cologne. He is currently developing site-specific performances that integrate film, movement, and sculpture to explore masculinity, vulnerability, and power, revealing tensions between strength and fragility in contemporary society.

Sepideh Khodarahmi
Born in 1992, Sepideh Khodarahmi is an Iranian/Swedish artist based between Portugal and Sweden. Studied at the University of Theatre and Music in Gothenburg, the Hogeschool for the Arts in Amsterdam, and Broadway Dance Center in New York. Since 2016, Sepideh has explored drag as a mode of expression, both as a performer and teacher, addressing themes such as destruction, cake-sitting, hyper-gender, eroticism, intimacy, queerness, and power. Sensuality is a recurring element and method in her work. She has collaborated with Marina Abramović, Hooman Sharifi, and Dinis Machado, and performed on prestigious international stages including the Royal Theatre in Stockholm and Teatro Nacional D. Maria II in Lisbon. Also participated in Meg Stuart’s PACAP at Forum Dança in Lisbon.
Alice Azevedo
Alice Azevedo holds a degree in Performing Arts from FLUL and a postgraduate degree in Aesthetics and Artistic Studies from NOVA FCSH. In 2024 she created “If You’re Not a Lesbian, What Are You Called?” at Teatro do Bairro Alto. In 2023 she created “Nau Nau Maria,” a co-production of TNDMII. In 2022, she created the staged readings “Literatura de Sodom and Safo, Please,” a revisit of the 1923 literary scandal, reviving the figure of Judith Teixeira. In 2021, she made the video piece “Declaration of World Theatre Day” for the Estar em Casa festival at Teatro São Luiz. Along with Lila Tiago in 2021, she co-created “NOS SUNT – An Exhibition” for the Interference Festival by Olga Roriz’s company, and in 2020 she created the video piece “Tágides, Exemplares” for Teatro do Bairro Alto. As an actress, she highlights her work with Cristina Carvalhal, Teresa Coutinho, and Mário Coelho.
